Kornspitz "Herb Butter & Salmon"
with smoked salmon, caviar, herb butter
INGREDIENTS
per Kornspitz: |
35 – 50 g smoked salmon |
5 g black caviar |
1 hardboiled egg, peeled and sliced |

Herb butter |
For the herb butter: |
25 g butter |
Herbs of choice |
Garlic, crushed |
Mustard (optional) |
Preparation
Leave the butter at room temperature until soft, then beat it until light and fluffy. Add the crushed garlic and herbs of your choice (e.g. dill, lemongrass, coriander). For even more depth of flavour, add a bit of your favourite mustard. Season with salt and pepper. Spread herb butter onto the bottom half of the Kornspitz and top with smoked salmon. Add 2 – 3 slices of boiled egg and garnish with caviar. Finish with a few drops of freshly-squeezed lemon juice.
Tip!
Add freshly-squeezed lemon juice to the herb butter for a deliciously fresh lemon-herb butter.
