The Asten-based manufacturer of raw baking materials improved on the previous year, and is now among the top ten percent of companies rated by EcoVadis and in the top four percent of the sector.

backaldrin is well pleased with its results in the sustainability rankings from EcoVadis, the world's largest and most reliable provider of sustainability rankings. After the positive results when the company took part for the first time last year, the baking ingredients manufacturer improved further, and is now in the top ten percent of all companies assessed by EcoVadis. In the "manufacture of other food products" division, backaldrin even ranks in the top four percent.

For this achievement, backaldrin now receives the silver medal, which indicates that the company scored higher than or equal to the score of 90 percent of all companies rated by EcoVadis. Also noteworthy is the area of "Sustainable Procurement", where the company ranks in the top six percent. Further top performances were achieved in the areas of "Environment" (top six percent), "Labour and Human Rights" (top three percent), and "Ethics" (top eight percent).
